All Alone

Ever had the feeling of being all alone
even though there were many around you?
The sound of laughter, of voices
couldn't break the feeling of loneliness.
You just float around in some zombie state
not knowing why you are there
or even caring why..
the feeling eating away at you.
Your heart and soul feels so heavy
and it is hard to move
each little movement seems
to take up too much energy.
Your mind goes blank and
you stare off into space,
loneliness fills every inch of your soul
there is no smile upon your face.
You wonder how long you will feel this way
how long will it last..
the feeling of total loneliness
where no one can enter in.
There is nothing so sad as being all alone
in a room full of family and friends
and they can not see the loneliness
that is hiding deep within.
